In the past, over 50% of physical membership cards were left uncollected by penya members.
Given we already have a digital membership card, this is a waste of money and a logistical headache for volunteers that have to transport physical cards on match days. And of course it is not keen to the environment.
From now on, members will need to opt-in to get the physical membership card, and there will be a symbolic £1 charge.
You are expected to collect your physical card by a set date (15 November 2026). After this date, the card will be destroyed. If members want a new card, they would then need to pay a surcharge of £10 to print another card.
