Did you ever wondered why Bar&Co is called Camp Nou on the Thames?

Well, a secret camera was introduced while unaware PBL members were enjoying themselves during our 4-3 victory at the Bernabeu stadium...

FCB visited Bernabeu four points behind Real Madrid. In the capital there were non stop talks of end of a cycle (blah blah blah).  FCB had to win if we wanted to get back in the title race.

Needless to say, this was a high tension match at Penya Blaugrana London.  The usual cheering, singing and shouting was multiplied by two (more in a later post). In the end, nail bitting victory of 4-3 to Barça.  

Penya Blaugrana London travelled to Manchester with 47 members for the Manchester City Champions league match.

Along with the PBL delegation, we took our Sant Jordi flag, which was unfolded at Exchange Square and Albert Square.

Most importantly, the flag was also unfolded at the Etihad stadium, while the players came out to the pitch.

Penya Blaugrana London visited Manchester for the Champions League match against Man City in full force.

While singing, drinking and basically enjoying the day, several of our members were interviewed by Sky Sports.

As tradition mandates, PBL celebrated it 28th year anniversary in style.

Members started early the day enjoying sporting activities at the Canary Wharf sports center, where they played football and dodge ball. While it was to be expected the competitive edge of our members during the football match, it was surprising to see the pleasure at literally throwing the ball at each other during the dodge ball match.

AFter the sporting activities, we all moved to Bar&Co where our members were treated to a considerable amount of Estrellas, free courtesy of Estrella Damn, followed by the traditional penya dinner, cava and FC Barcelona cake.  

After this, and as is tradition in our Anniversary, FC Barcelona treated us to a 2-1 win against Villareal, while our friends at R Madrid and Espanyol lost points in their matches.  

Penya Blaugrana London is proud to have hosted Esteve Calzada, Director General of Marketing at FC Barcelona between 2002 and 2007, and currently a football agent.  

Esteve joined us for the match against Atletico, and shared few beers with our members at Bar&Co.
