FC Barcelona Ladies vs Arsenal, Champions League

Our FC Barcelona ladies NEED YOU!!!

Penya Blaugrana London will be sending a delegation to support FC Barcelona ladies against Arsenal at Meadow Park on Thursday 4th October at 3pm.

PB London understands 3pm is a very inconvenient kick off time.  This is also a very important game for our ladies, and this is why PB London will pay the ticket fee of any member that wants to attend this match to support our team!

This is an historic year for our FC Barcelona ladies, as they are playing Champions League for first time in their history. Unfortunately they face the Arsenal ladies, a mature and very experienced team in this competition. The first leg took place last Wednesday in Barcelona in front of 1400 supporters. They dominated most of the first half, playing not only with their hearts but also with their heads, and only an unfortunate corner gave Arsenal the first goal that was the turning point of the game. The final score was 3-0 to Arsenal.

Listening to some players in radio interviews, it was clear they were upset about the final score, especially because this score does not reflect what happened during the game.  But as they say, where there is a will there is a way, and our ladies are looking forward to the second leg in London, to soak up the Champions League experience and demonstrate the score of the first leg was an accident.

While hard, they will need the support of Barça fans for a fighting chance to turn this game around!

Let’s all make Barça!
